Bright Christmas Appeal 2014

24 November 2014

As your local Member of Parliament, I have a unique and special position which lets me see many of our community’s needs. I am also privileged to have the resources to coordinate a campaign to raise awareness and help relieve these needs. As part of this, I’m launching the Bright Christmas Appeal.

As your local Member of Parliament, I have a unique and special position which lets me see many of our community’s needs. I am also privileged to have the resources to coordinate a campaign to raise awareness and help relieve these needs. As part of this, I’m launching the Bright Christmas Appeal.

Our first appeal will run from 25 November (today) until 25 December 2014 and will support three local causes:

Parkinson's SA (Brighton Parkinson's Support Group)

Parkinson's SA provides support and information for those affected by Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders in South Australia. Funds raised will assist Parkinson’s SA in continuing this vital work in our community.

Kingston Historic House

Built in 1840, Kingston House is one of South Australia's oldest and most important historical properties which is still in use today. Staffed entirely by volunteers, it is available for functions and also hosts Devonshire tea every Sunday afternoon. Funds raised will go towards the maintenance of this incredible and important property.

Hallett Cove South Primary School playground fund

The Hallett Cove South Primary School’s playground equipment is desperately in need of an upgrade. Funds raised will go towards developing a much-needed play space which will be located on school grounds, but will be accessible after hours for the wider community.

Please join me in supporting these worthy causes during our Christmas season this year.

Donations can be dropped off at my electorate office, 7 Sturt Road Brighton, or mailed to: PO Box 121, Brighton, SA 5048.
