The 2014 Volunteer Support Fund opened for applications on Monday 25 August 2014.

Volunteers make an outstanding contribution to community life in South Australia and the Volunteer Support Fund exists to support and develop the volunteering sector by enabling community organisations to apply for funding to support their volunteer workers.

The 2014 Volunteer Support Fund is designed to directly benefit volunteers by giving them access to necessary training, equipment and other resources that will assist them in their capacity as volunteers.

This Fund opened for applications on Monday 25 August 2014 and eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to $3,000 for initiatives to advance and assist volunteer supporting programs, expand volunteer participation and promote the value of volunteering within the community.

Eligibility

Organisations must be community based, not-for-profit and incorporated (or auspiced) to be eligible to apply.

Funding priorities

Special consideration will be given to:

  • activities that enhance the role of volunteers in the community
  • innovative ideas that assist volunteers and volunteer programs
  • projects that assist in the development of volunteers
