Supporting our sporting and service clubs and creating great public spaces like the upgraded Hallett Cove foreshore are examples of ways in which I will work to build stronger, healthier communities.

This year my work has included:

  • hosting a volunteers’ Christmas garden party to celebrate those who give selflessly to our community convening a church leaders’ breakfast so local church leaders and school chaplains can connect, hear from each other and work together
  • connecting with and supporting six Neighbourhood Watch groups and working alongside Lions, Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, surf and sporting clubs and residents’ groups
  • initiating the 2014 Bright Christmas Appeal fundraising for Parkinson’s SA, Hallett Cove South Primary School and Kingston Historic House
  • co-convening the Parliamentary Friends of Surf Life Saving to support and promote the work of our surf clubs
